Job Description:
Our client, a progressive manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Controller to join their Accounting department. Great opportunity for a Plant Controller seeking growth and development.
$115,000 to 130,000 per year

- Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
- Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
- Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- The Plant Controller will directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate
- GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- The Plant Controller will analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing average cost to actual production costs.
- Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
- Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Qualifications of the Plant Controller:
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Experience in Cost Accounting and regulatory reporting
- Experience in Plant Controller
- Knowledge of SOX and IFRS standards
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
- Familiarity with financial software
- Epicor experience is preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
